About Lumos Outdoor Lighting

Lumos Outdoor Lighting is a family-owned, design-centric outdoor lighting firm serving homeowners, builders, landscape professionals, and businesses throughout Central Texas and the Dallas–Fort Worth area.

Founded by father son duo Scott and Ryan Michael, Lumos specializes exclusively in professional outdoor lighting design and installation. As Principal Lighting Designer, Ryan leads the creative vision behind each project, approaching lighting as an integral part of the architecture and landscape rather than an afterthought.

Every Lumos design is intentional — balancing light, shadow, depth, focal points, and visual comfort to create a cohesive nighttime experience. From architectural illumination and mature tree lighting to outdoor living spaces, pathways, and landscapes, each system is designed specifically around the property and the way it is experienced after dark.

That design-first philosophy is carried through installation, where precise fixture placement, professional-grade materials, and long-term system performance are central to the finished product.

As a family-owned, faith-centered company, Lumos is guided by integrity, generosity, excellence, and a commitment to serving people well — all while pursuing its mission to “Push Back Darkness, One Property at a Time.”
